Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan

• Upon arrival at Zvartnots International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to begin your unforgettable journey through Armenia.
• Your adventure starts with a sightseeing tour of Yerevan, one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, founded 29 years before Rome. During the tour, you will visit the Mother Armenia Monument, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city and, weather permitting, the majestic biblical Mount Ararat. You will also explore the elegant Opera and Ballet Theatre, the vibrant Republic Square, the famous Cascade Complex with the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, and the monument to David of Sassoun, the legendary hero of the Armenian national epic.
• Lunch will be served at a traditional Armenian restaurant, where you will embark on your first gastronomic experience. Enjoy the famous Khashlama—tender slow-cooked meat prepared with fresh vegetables, aromatic herbs, and traditional Armenian spices according to centuries-old family recipes. The experience is enhanced by live folk music, traditional Armenian dances, and the genuine hospitality for which Armenia is renowned.
• After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Yerevan. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2: Yerevan – Garni – Geghard – Symphony of Stones – Lavash Baking Experience – Ararat “Noy” Brandy Factory – Yerevan

• After breakfast at the hotel, set off to explore some of Armenia’s most iconic cultural and natural landmarks.
• Your first stop is the Garni Temple, the only surviving pagan temple in Armenia and the finest example of Hellenistic architecture in the region. Built in the 1st century AD, it offers spectacular views over the Azat River Gorge.
• Continue to the UNESCO-listed Geghard Monastery (12th–13th centuries), a remarkable medieval monastery partially carved into the surrounding cliffs. Once home to the Holy Lance, the monastery is one of Armenia’s most treasured spiritual landmarks.
• Next, visit the breathtaking Symphony of Stones, a unique natural monument where towering basalt columns resemble the pipes of a giant organ.
• Lunch will be served at a traditional Armenian family restaurant, where you will enjoy a Lavash baking master class. Watch Armenia’s famous UNESCO-listed flatbread being baked in a traditional tonir oven and savor freshly baked lavash, charcoal-grilled kebab, and authentic Armenian specialties.
• In the afternoon, visit the historic Ararat “Noy” Brandy Factory. Discover the centuries-old traditions of Armenian brandy production, explore the historic cellars, and enjoy a tasting of premium Armenian brandies.
• Return to Yerevan and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for leisure.

Day 3: Yerevan – Khor Virap – Areni Winery – Areni Cave – Noravank Monastery – Zorats Church – Yeghegis

• After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your journey through the spectacular landscapes of southern Armenia.
• Your first stop is Khor Virap Monastery, one of Armenia’s most important pilgrimage sites. Famous for its underground prison where Saint Gregory the Illuminator was held for 13 years, the monastery also offers breathtaking views of the biblical Mount Ararat, weather permitting.
• Continue to the renowned Areni Winery, where you will discover Armenia’s ancient winemaking traditions and enjoy a tasting of local wines. Lunch features chicken kebab baked in a traditional tonir oven, served with authentic Armenian specialties.
• Next, visit Areni Cave (Birds’ Cave), one of the world’s most important archaeological sites, where the oldest known leather shoe and evidence of one of the earliest wineries were discovered.
• The journey continues to the magnificent Noravank Monastery, beautifully set among dramatic red cliffs and considered one of Armenia’s finest medieval architectural masterpieces.
• You will also visit the unique Zorats Church (14th century), an open-air sanctuary with an elevated altar where mounted warriors once received blessings before battle without dismounting from their horses.
• In the evening, arrive in the picturesque mountain village of Yeghegis, where you will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of rural Armenia. Dinner will be served in a cozy guesthouse, featuring tender veal with seasonal vegetables prepared according to traditional homemade Armenian recipes.
• Overnight stay in Yeghegis.

Day 4: Hermon – Selim Caravanserai – Noratus – Mikayelyan Cheese Farm – Lake Sevan – Dilijan

• After breakfast at the hotel, check out and continue your journey through the beautiful landscapes of Armenia.
• Your first stop is the historic Selim Caravanserai, a well-preserved 14th-century inn on the ancient Silk Road, located at an altitude of 2,410 meters on the Vardenyats Pass.
• Continue to Noratus, home to the world’s largest collection of medieval Armenian khachkars (cross-stones), where more than 900 unique carved monuments reflect Armenia’s rich spiritual heritage.
• Visit the Mikayelyan Family Cheese Farm, where you will discover the art of traditional Armenian cheesemaking and enjoy a tasting of handcrafted cheeses paired with local Armenian wines.
• Travel to the breathtaking Lake Sevan, known as the “Blue Pearl of Armenia,” one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes.
• Lunch will be served at Tsaghkunk Restaurant, where you will enjoy the restaurant’s signature Geghama Chicken, prepared according to traditional regional recipes.
• After lunch, visit the historic Sevanavank Monastery (9th century), offering spectacular panoramic views over Lake Sevan.
• Continue to Dilijan, often called the “Little Switzerland of Armenia,” famous for its lush forests, fresh mountain air, and charming atmosphere. On the way, stop at the famous Mimino Monument.
• In the evening, enjoy dinner and take part in a traditional Dolma cooking master class, where you will learn to prepare one of Armenia’s most beloved national dishes before your overnight stay in Dilijan.

Day 5: Dilijan – Haghpat – Akhtala – Gyumri (Leninakan)

• After breakfast at the hotel, check out and continue your journey to northern Armenia, a region famous for its medieval monasteries, rich history, and traditional cuisine.
• Your first stop is the UNESCO-listed Haghpat Monastery (10th century), one of Armenia’s finest examples of medieval architecture. According to local tradition, its sacred spring is believed to have healing properties.
• Continue to Akhtala Fortress (10th century), an important medieval stronghold overlooking the Debed Gorge, renowned for its impressive fortifications and beautiful frescoes.
• Lunch will be served at a traditional restaurant near Akhtala, where you will enjoy authentic Armenian Khorovats—the country’s famous charcoal-grilled barbecue, prepared over an open fire using traditional recipes.
• In the afternoon, arrive in Gyumri, Armenia’s second-largest city and cultural capital. During a guided walking tour, explore the historic district with its distinctive black-tuff architecture, visit Vardanants Square, and discover the impressive Sev Berd (Black Fortress), built during the Russian Empire.
• Dinner will be served at one of Gyumri’s renowned local restaurants, where you will taste sterlet shashlik, a regional specialty prepared over an open fire using fresh fish and traditional Armenian techniques.
• Overnight stay in Gyumri.

Day 6: Gyumri – Armenian Alphabet Monument – Amberd Fortress – Hovhannavank Monastery – Armenia Wine Winery – Yerevan

• After breakfast at the hotel, depart for another exciting day exploring Armenia’s rich history, spectacular mountain landscapes, and renowned culinary traditions.
• Your first stop is the Armenian Alphabet Monument, dedicated to the 1,600th anniversary of the Armenian alphabet created by Saint Mesrop Mashtots. The monument features 39 monumental stone letters carved from Armenia’s famous red tuff on the scenic slopes of Mount Aragats.
• Continue to the magnificent Amberd Fortress (10th century), known as the “Fortress in the Clouds.” Perched on the slopes of Armenia’s highest mountain, it is one of the country’s best-preserved medieval fortresses and offers breathtaking panoramic views.
• Next, visit the beautiful Hovhannavank Monastery, one of Armenia’s most important medieval religious sites, founded according to tradition by Saint Gregory the Illuminator.
• Lunch will be served at a welcoming family guesthouse in the village of Ushi, where you will take part in a traditional Arishta handmade noodle master class and enjoy a tasting of Garni Yarah, a delicious Armenian dish of slow-roasted meat with vegetables and aromatic herbs.

• Return to Yerevan and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the evening is free for leisure.

Day 7: Yerevan – Etchmiadzin – Saint Hripsime Church – Zvartnots – Yerevan

• After breakfast at the hotel, set out to explore Etchmiadzin, the spiritual heart of Armenia and one of the world’s oldest Christian centers.
• Your first stop is the UNESCO-listed Saint Hripsime Church (7th century), built in 618 AD on the site where Saint Hripsime was martyred for her Christian faith.
• Continue to the magnificent Zvartnots Cathedral, a masterpiece of medieval Armenian architecture. Although only its impressive ruins remain today, this UNESCO World Heritage Site continues to captivate visitors with its remarkable history and beauty.
• Next, visit the Etchmiadzin Cathedral, founded in the early 4th century and recognized as the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the residence of the Catholicos of All Armenians.
• Lunch will be served at a welcoming family guesthouse in Etchmiadzin, where you will enjoy a tasting of traditional Armenian Kufta and take part in a Gata baking master class, learning the secrets of one of Armenia’s most beloved pastries.
• Return to Yerevan and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for leisure.

Day 8: Departure

Duration: 40 minutes / 25 km

• After breakfast at the hotel, check out by 12:00 PM.
• At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to Zvartnots International Airport for your departure flight.
