Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan

• Arrival to «Zvartnots» International Airport. Our guide will meet you at the airport.
• Transfer to the hotel in Yerevan. Free time.

Day 2: Yerevan – City tour – Matenadaran – Tsitsernakaberd Memorial – Armenian Genocide Museum

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Sightseeing tour of the city of Yerevan – the ancient capital of Armenia, which is 29 years older than Rome.
• Tour itinerary: “Mother Armenia” monument – from where you can see an excellent view of the whole city, the Opera House, Republic Square, the “Cascade” architectural complex, the Cafesjian Museum of Modern Art, the monument to the hero of the Armenian epic “Sasuntsi David”.
• Excursion to Matenadaran – the pride of Armenian culture, the world’s largest repository of ancient manuscripts and books.
• Visit to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial and the Museum of the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
• Lunch in Yerevan (Traditional Armenian Restaurant).
• Transfer to the hotel. Free time.

Day 4: Yerevan — Khor Virap — «Bird Cave» – wine tasting in the village «Areni» — Noravank — Jermuk

• Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel.
• Tour to Khor Virap monastery (literally translated as «deep dungeon») (7 – 17th centuries). You will see the underground pit where the first Patriarch of Armenian Apostolic Church St. Grigor Lusavorich (Saint Gregory the Illuminator) languished in prison for 13 years. The monastery is located 50 km away from Yerevan on the Armenian – Turkish border. You will enjoy the wonderful view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.
• A trip to the karst caves in Areni, also known as the «Bird’s Cave», where a 5500 year-old leather shoe was found.
• Lunch in the village of Areni, where wines are produced from local grape varieties (wine tasting).
• Trip to Noravank monastery (9 – 13th centuries) is one of the most magnificent medieval monuments of Armenia, located on the ledge of narrow winding gorge with rare red rocks. This is truly a masterpiece of Armenian architecture.
• Visit to the city of Jermuk – a hydro-healing and climatic resort (2080 m above sea level), where the world-famous mineral table water “Jermuk” is produced.
• Visiting Jermuk waterfall and Galleries of mineral waters, where you can drink warm mineral water. Gallery of mineral water —  a business card and symbol of the town, built in the classic style of Armenian architecture.
• Dinner and overnight in Jermuk.

Day 4: Shaki waterfall — Zorac Karer — Vorotnavank — Goris 

• Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel.
• Trip to the Shaki waterfall, which is considered one of the most beautiful and picturesque waterfalls in Armenia.
• A trip to Zorats Karer, the ancient Observatory (Armenian Karahunj), which is 7000 years old. The phrase « Zorats Karer» is literally translated from Armenian as «an army of stones». Armenian Karahunj has similarities with English Stonehenge.
• Lunch in a traditional Armenian restaurant.
• A trip to Vorotnavank is a journey into the soul of ancient Armenia. This 10th-century monastery rises above the Vorotan Gorge, surrounded by mountains and silence. According to legend, it was founded by a queen who chose the spot “closer to the sky.” History, nature, and inner peace — all in one place.
• Trip to Goris. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Goris – Khndzoresk – Tatev – Yeghegis – Zorats Church – Smbataberd   

• Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel.
• A visit to the village of Khndzoresk, which is famous for its ancient cave dwellings on the hillside. «Dead city» of the living descendants holds many unsolved mysteries. In Khndzoresk there is a winging bridge, which runs across a deep and incredibly beautiful canyon, with its cliffs and caves.
• Tour of Tatev monastery — unique monument of Armenian architecture built in the 9th century. Tatev without exaggeration can be considered one of the most beautiful and amazing places on the Planet. By the monastery there is the longest reverse ropeway in the world (5752 m), ranked in the Guinness Book of Records.
• Lunch in a traditional Armenian restaurant.
• Walk through the village of Yeghegis, which was one of the richest cities in Armenia and in the XIII-XIV centuries – the throne city of the dynasty of princes Orbelyans (Proshyans). You will also come across a Jewish cemetery and old small churches.
• A trip to the Zorats Church (Zorats tachar, translated as “Temple of Power”, XIV century), which is the only surviving structure without a vaulted or domed ceiling. A unique “open church”, with a high altar, approximately at the level of a rider in the saddle, so that they, without dismounting from their horses, could take an oath and receive a blessing for the upcoming battle.
• A hike to the Smbataberd fortress (10th century) – one of the oldest and largest fortresses in Vayots Dzor and Syunik (1930 m above sea level) (A walking tour or an exciting jeep tour at your discretion, for an additional date, and depending on weather conditions).
• Return to Yeghegis village. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Jermuk — Selim — Noratus — Sevan — Dilijan

• Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel.
• Visiting Jermuk waterfall and Galleries of mineral waters, where you can drink warm mineral water. Gallery of mineral water —  a business card and symbol of the town, built in the classic style of Armenian architecture.
• A trip to Selim caravanserai (Inn) (2410 m above sea level), which was built along the mountain pass of Vardenyats in 1332 to accommodate weary travelers and their animals travelling along the silk road from Eastern Asia to the Mediterranean and back.
• Visit to the Mikaelyan family farm, where exclusive types of cheese are obtained on the basis of their own dairy production – more than 10 different types. Among them are wine, cognac, nut and many other interesting combinations (Tasting of delicious cheeses with Armenian wine).
• Excursion to the ancient village of Noratus, famous for its large ancient cemetery, where there are more than 900 exquisitely ornamented khachkars (cross – stone). All the cross – stones differ from one another forming unique patterns and compositional characteristics.
• Lunch in a traditional Armenian restaurant.
• Drive to Lake Sevan, which is the pearl of Armenia and the largest freshwater basin in Eurasia and the second largest Alpine lake in the world. Sevan is situated at an altitude of 1900 meters above sea level. Visiting Sevanavank monastery (9th century).
• A trip to the greenest part of Armenia – the city of Dilijan, which is famous for its clean air and lush forests. Stop at the bronze monument to the heroes of the film “Mimino”.
• Trip to Dilijan town. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Haghartsin — Khachkar Workshop of Vanadzor(A Hidden Treasure) —  Sanahin — Akhtala — Haghpat

• Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from the hotel.
• Visiting a beautiful monastery — Haghartsin (12th century), hidden between wooded hills and cliffs.
• A trip to Vanadzor — the third-largest city in Armenia, a beautiful and historically significant place surrounded by forests and high mountains.
• Visit the workshop of one of the few remaining contemporary masters of khachkars — Bogdan Ovanisyan. Here, the ancient Armenian art comes alive before your eyes: stone carving transforms into delicate patterns, symbols of faith and memory. Bogdan is not just a sculptor but a true guardian of tradition. He will gladly introduce you to the world of khachkars, share stories about his craft, sing rare Armenian folk songs, and give you unforgettable impressions.
• Lunch in a traditional Armenian restaurant.
• Tour to Sanahin monastery —  religious and cultural center during the reign of Kyurikids (10 – 12 century).
• A trip to Akhtala castle (10th century), an important strategic point of the kingdom of Kyurikyan – Bagratuni.
• Dinner and overnight in Haghpat.

Day 8: Haghpat — Odzun — Lori berd — Arboretum (Stepanavan) — Gyumri

• Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel.
• Visiting Haghpat Monastery (10th century). It is believed that the monastery is the holy water, which has healing properties and helps people with heart disease.
• Trip to Odzun Monastery (6th century), a single example of this type, because of the size unusual for those times and its building layout.
• A trip to Lori Berd is a journey into the heart of ancient Armenia. This 11th-century fortress, with its strong walls and towers, holds the legends of a medieval kingdom. From here, breathtaking views of the mountains and the Debed River unfold — a perfect spot for history and nature lovers. Feel the spirit of the past and the grandeur of ancient walls!
• Lunch (lunch box).
• Excursion to the Stepanavan Arboretum – the only one of its kind in the South Caucasus. One of the most beautiful and picturesque places in Armenia, which is also very useful for people with respiratory problems, thanks to the essential oils secreted by coniferous trees, which had strong bactericidal properties. In the park you will also see a beautiful wooden bridge. After walking through it for the first time, make a wish, it will certainly come true.
• Trip to the city of Gyumri – the second largest city in Armenia.
• Dinner and overnight in Gyumri.

Day 9: Gyumri – city tour – Alexandropol Fortress (Sev Berd) – Marmashen 

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Sightseeing – walking tour of the beautiful city Gyumri, getting to know the old part of the city with colorful facades and unique architecture. Tour itinerary: Panoramic view of the central square of Vardanants, then – Alexandropol fortress, known as Sev Berd — the “Black Fortress,” was built in the 19th century during the Tsarist era. This stronghold played a crucial role in protecting Russian borders from Persian and Turkish raids. Today, the fortress attracts visitors with its impressive architecture and military history, offering a glimpse into the important chapters of the region’s past.
• Lunch in a traditional Armenian restaurant.
• Trip to the monastery complex known as “Marmashen Vank” consisting of three places of worship, which are the best preserved examples of the “Ani school” of medieval Armenian architecture.
• Оvernight in Gyumri.

Day 10: Gyumri — Dashtadem — Aruch karavansaray — Voskevaz Winery — Yerevan

• Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel.
• Trip to the city of Talin, and a visit to the unique, one of the best preserved, medieval fortress Dashtadem, which was founded in the 10th century during the Bagratuni dynasty and protected the eastern approaches to the city of Ani.
• A visit to the Aruch caravanserai (inn), dating back to the 13th century, which connected the capital of the Armenian kingdom of the Bagratids – Ani with Dvin and provided travelers with shelter and food. This road was used by merchant caravans and travelers from Persia, Georgia, Byzantium and Central Asia.
• Lunch.
• Visit to the «Voskevaz Winery», founded in 1932, where you will taste an amazing and truly inspiring assortment of wines. The peculiarity of this winery is that it produces wines both using modern winemaking technology and in ancient karases (traditional vessels for aging wine) made in the 19th century. During the excursion, you will visit the wine cellars, get acquainted with the history of the plant, and also learn about the features of winemaking. The products of the plant have repeatedly won prizes at reputable local and international competitions: “Decanter World Wine Awards”, “Mundus Vini”, “Sommelier Wine Awards”, etc.
• Return to Yerevan. Transfer to the hotel. Free time.

Day 11: Saghmosavank — Hovhannavank — Amberd — Monument of Armenian Alphabet — Armenia Wine — Yerevan

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Excursion to Saghmosavank monastery (13 century), which stands on the Western edge of Kasakh river canyon. You will enjoy the magnificent views of the canyon.
• A trip to the majestic monastery, which is located in the village of Hovhanavan in the Aragatsotn region. According to legend, the monastery was founded by St. Gregory the Illuminator, who brought here the relics of St. John the Baptist (the Forerunner), hence the very name ” Hovhannavank ” (Monastery of Hovhannes, that is, John).
• Trip to Amberd fortress (literally translated as «fortress of clouds») (10th century), a vivid example of Armenian medieval architecture and one of the few preserved feudal castles in Armenia. Located in a beautiful and deep gorge, halfway to the top of the mountain between two rivers it blends harmoniously with the surrounding landscape (Mount Aragats — the highest mountain in Armenia — 4096m above sea level).
• Visiting the monument of Armenian alphabet. The monument is located on the slope of Aragats Mountain, and is dedicated to 1600 anniversary of creation of the Armenian alphabet. 39 giant, carved Armenian letters from the famous red tuff, placed near the resting place of St. Mesrop Mashtots — the creator of the Armenian alphabet in 405.
• Lunch.
• Visit the largest winery in the South Caucasus, “Armenia Wine” — a symbol of modern Armenian winemaking.
• Return to Yerevan. Transfer to the hotel. Free time.

Day 12: Yerevan — Garni — Geghard — Symphony of Stones — Demonstration baking «lavash» — Yerevan

•  Breakfast at the hotel.
• Trip to Garni — Symphony of Armenian architecture. It is the only surviving pagan temple in Armenia. Built in the Hellenistic style in the 1st century by the Armenian King Trdat I and dedicated to the God of the Sun Mithras.
• Lunch at the restaurant above the gorge of the Azat river and demonstration baking «lavash» — traditional Armenian bread in the tonir (oven in the ground).
• Visiting the monastery Geghard (12 – 13th centuries). It is a unique monastery complex, where the temple is completely carved in the rock. The name «Geghard» literally «the monastery of the spear» is due to the fact that in this place Christian relic — the spear, which, according to tradition, a Roman soldier had pierced the crucified Jesus with was kept (now kept in the Museum of Echmiadzin).
• Visit to the Symphony of Stones. The object is a gorge, the rocks of which consist of huge basalt pillars. Their vertical arrangement is very reminiscent of organ pipes, which is why the monument got its name.
• Return to Yerevan. Transfer to the hotel. Free time.

Day 13: Erebuni Fortress —History Museum of Armenia — Eastern Market — Vernissage

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Visiting the ruins  of the Erebuni fortress – one of the cities of the state of Urartu. The city was built in 782 BC. King Agrishti I, and was a strategic point of defense in the Ararat valley.
• A visit to the History Museum of Armenia in Yerevan is an exciting journey deep into time. The museum houses a vast collection of artifacts that tell the story of the Armenian people’s life and culture from ancient times to the present day. Here, you can see rare finds, including the world’s oldest leather shoe and ancient inscriptions that reflect the greatness of Armenian civilization. This museum is a true treasure trove of history, a must-see for every traveler who wants to understand the soul of Armenia.
• Visit Eastern market and fair «Vernissage», where you can buy souvenirs, gifts, jewelry and other handmade products from wood, stone, including precious, silver and other materials (full working days Saturday and Sunday).
• Transfer to the hotel. Free time.

Day 14:  Transfer to the airport. Departure.
