1 Day, 17 August (Thursday): Arrival in Yerevan — city tour

• Arrival to «Zvartnots» International Airport. Our guide will meet you at the airport. Transfer to the hotel in Yerevan.
• Panoramic tour round Yerevan city — the ancient capital of Armenia, which is 29 years older than Rome. Tour Itinerary: «Mother Armenia» monument offers a nice overview of the whole city, the Opera House, Republic  Square, «Cascade» architectural complex, the Museum of Contemporary Art named Cafesjian, the monument to the hero of «David Sasuntsi» Armenian epos.
• Lunch in Yerevan (Armenian traditional restaurant).
• Visiting «Tsitsernakaberd» Memorial and the Armenian Genocide Museum of 1915.
• Transfer to the hotel. Free time.

2 Day, 18 August (Friday): Sevan — Dilijan — Goshavank — Haghartsin — Dilijan

• Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel.
• Drive to Lake Sevan, which is the pearl of Armenia and the largest freshwater basin in Eurasia and the second largest Alpine lake in the world. Sevan is situated at an altitude of 1900 meters above sea level. Visiting Sevanavank monastery (9th century).
• Hiking to Goshavank monastery (12th century), which was one of the most famous spiritual and educational centers of medieval Armenia, where the great Armenian scholar, jurist and the Chronicles of Mkhitar Gosh had lived and worked for 25 years. (Distance — 10 km, duration — 3, 5 hours)
• Lunch in Goshavank.
• Visiting a beautiful monastery — Haghartsin (12th century), hidden between wooded hills and cliffs.
• A trip into the green part of Armenia — Dilijan city, which is famous for its pure air and lush forests. Dinner and overnight.

3 Day, 19 August (Saturday): Dilijan — Odzun — Sanahin — Haghpat

• Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel.
• Trip to Odzun Monastery (6th century), a single example of this type, because of the size unusual for those times and its building layout.
• Tour to Sanahin monastery — religious and cultural center during the reign of Kyurikids (10 – 12 century).
• Lunch.
• Dinner and overnight in Haghpat village.

4 Day, 20 August (Sunday): Haghpat — Akhtala — «Barbecue Festival in Armenia» is a Monument of Armenian Alphabet — Saghmosavank — Yerevan

• Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel.
• Visiting Haghpat Monastery (10th century). It is believed that the monastery is the holy water, which has healing properties and helps people with heart disease.
• A trip to Akhtala castle (10th century), an important strategic point of the kingdom of Kyurikyan-Bagratuni.
• Participation in the «Barbecue festival in Armenia», celebrated in the town of Akhtala. For several years in September, the feast-Armenian barbecue (khorovats) has been celebrated here. The festival is attended by professional chefs, as well as amateur ones from various regions of Armenia, who will present more than 40 varieties of barbecue and will be happy to share with you the recipe of this extremely tasty dish. From different corners of the country gourmets are attracted to take part in «barbecue festival in Armenia». Taste the most delicious barbecue and enjoy a real treat: the performance of Armenian national song and dance ensembles, various contests, games and other activities.
• Visiting the monument of Armenian alphabet. The monument is located on the slope of Aragats Mountain, and is dedicated to 1600 anniversary of creation of the Armenian alphabet. 39 giant, carved Armenian letters from the famous red tuff, placed near the resting place of St. Mesrop Mashtots — the creator of the Armenian alphabet in 405.
• Excursion to Saghmosavank monastery (13 century), which stands on the Western edge of Kasakh river canyon. You will enjoy the magnificent views of the canyon.
• Return to Yerevan. Transfer to the hotel. Free time.

5 Day, 21 August (Monday): Yerevan — Garni — Geghard — Brandy Factory Ararat «Noy»

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Trip to Garni — Symphony of Armenian architecture. It is the only surviving pagan temple in Armenia. Built in the Hellenistic style in the 1st century by the Armenian King Trdat I and dedicated to the God of the Sun Mithras.
• Visiting the monastery Geghard (12 – 13th centuries). It is a unique monastery complex, where the temple is completely carved in the rock. The name «Geghard» literally «the monastery of the spear» is due to the fact that in this place Christian relic — the spear, which, according to tradition, a Roman soldier had pierced the crucified Jesus with was kept (now kept in the Museum of Echmiadzin).
• Lunch at the restaurant above the gorge of the Azat river and demonstration baking «lavash» — traditional Armenian bread in the tonir (oven in the ground).
• Visiting Ararat «Noy» brandy factory — tour and brandy tasting.
• Transfer to the hotel. Free time

6 Day, 22 August (Tuesday): Transfer to the airport. Departure.
