Day 1: Yerevan City — tour

• Arrival to «Zvartnots» International Airport. Our guide will meet you at the airport. Transfer to the hotel in Yerevan.
• (15:30) Panoramic tour round Yerevan city – Explore the ancient capital of Armenia, which is 29 years older than Rome. The tour includes: the “Mother Armenia” monument, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city; the Opera Theatre; Republic Square; the “Cascade” architectural complex; the Cafesjian Museum of Art; and the monument to Sasuntsi Davit, the hero of the Armenian epic.
• Welcome Dinner in Yerevan. Enjoy a traditional Armenian dinner at a local restaurant.
• Evening Transfer to Hotel & Free Time. Relax and enjoy some free time at your leisure.

Day 2: Yerevan — Khor Virap — «Bird Cave» – wine tasting in the village «Areni» — Noravank — Zorac Karer — Goris

• Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
• Tour to Khor Virap Monastery (7th–17th centuries). Visit the underground pit where St. Gregory the Illuminator, the first Patriarch of the Armenian Apostolic Church, was imprisoned for 13 years. The monastery, located 50 km from Yerevan near the Armenian–Turkish border, offers breathtaking views of the Biblical Mount Ararat.
• Visit to Areni Caves (“Bird’s Cave”). Explore the fascinating Areni Caves, where a 5,500-year-old leather shoe — the oldest in the world—was discovered.
• Lunch in the village of Areni. Enjoy a traditional Armenian lunch in this picturesque village, famous for its wines made from local grape varieties, and take part in a wine tasting experience.
• Trip to Noravank Monastery (9th–13th centuries). Discover Noravank, one of Armenia’s most magnificent medieval monasteries, perched dramatically on a ledge above a narrow winding gorge with striking red rock formations. This architectural masterpiece is a must-see highlight of Armenian heritage.
• Visit to Zorats Karer (Armenian Karahunj). Step into the prehistoric world at Zorats Karer, an ancient observatory dating back 7,000 years. Its name literally means “an army of stones.” Often compared to Stonehenge in England, it is one of Armenia’s most mysterious and fascinating archaeological sites.
• Transfer to Goris. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Goris — Khndzoresk — Tatev — Shaki Waterfall — Jermuk

• Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
• Visit to the village of Khndzoresk. Explore the fascinating village of Khndzoresk, famous for its ancient cave dwellings carved into the hillside. Known as the “dead city of the living descendants,” it holds many unsolved mysteries. Walk across the suspension bridge that stretches over a deep, breathtaking canyon, surrounded by cliffs and caves — a truly unforgettable experience.
• Tour of Tatev Monastery (9th century). Discover the Tatev Monastery, a unique masterpiece of Armenian architecture. This 9th-century monument is considered one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring places on the planet. Nearby, ride the longest reversible ropeway in the world (5,752 meters), listed in the Guinness Book of Records, offering stunning views of the Vorotan Gorge.
• Lunch in a traditional Armenian restaurant.
• Trip to Shaki Waterfall, considered one of the most beautiful and picturesque waterfalls in Armenia.
• Visit to Jermuk. Travel to Jermuk, a renowned spa and climatic resort situated 2,080 meters above sea level, famous for its world-renowned mineral water. Enjoy the crisp mountain air and the scenic beauty of this peaceful town.
• Dinner and overnight in Jermuk.

Day 4: Jermuk — Selim — Noratus — Sevan — Dilijan

• Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
• Visit to Jermuk Waterfall and Mineral Water Galleries. Explore the Jermuk Waterfall and the famous Mineral Water Galleries, where you can taste warm, naturally carbonated mineral water. The galleries are a symbol of the town and a showcase of classic Armenian architectural style.
• Trip to Selim Caravanserai (Inn). Visit the historic Selim Caravanserai, located 2,410 meters above sea level along the Vardenyats mountain pass. Built in 1332, this caravanserai once provided shelter for weary travelers and their animals journeying along the Silk Road from Eastern Asia to the Mediterranean and back.
• Excursion to the Ancient Village of Noratus. Discover the village of Noratus, famous for its large ancient cemetery, home to over 900 intricately carved khachkars (cross-stones). Each cross-stone is unique, with its own ornamental patterns and compositional features, making the site a true treasure of Armenian medieval art.
• Drive to Lake Sevan. Visit Lake Sevan, the “pearl of Armenia,” the largest freshwater lake in Eurasia and the second largest alpine lake in the world, situated 1,900 meters above sea level. Explore the Sevanavank Monastery (9th century), perched on the lake’s scenic shoreline.

Day 5: Dilijan — Haghartsin — Akhtala — Sanahin — Haghpat

• Visit to Haghartsin Monastery (12th century). Explore the beautiful Haghartsin Monastery, hidden among lush wooded hills and dramatic cliffs. This serene and picturesque site is a true gem of medieval Armenian architecture.

• Tour of Sanahin Monastery (10th–12th centuries).Discover Sanahin Monastery, a major religious and cultural center during the reign of the Kyurikid dynasty. The complex showcases exquisite medieval Armenian architecture and ancient manuscripts.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Haghpat village.

Day 6: Haghpat — Odzun — Monument of Armenian Alphabet — Amberd — Saghmosavank — Yerevan

• Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
• Visit to Haghpat Monastery (10th century). Explore Haghpat Monastery, believed to be blessed with holy water said to have healing properties, particularly for heart ailments. This remarkable monastery is a stunning example of medieval Armenian architecture.
• Trip to Odzun Monastery (6th century). Visit Odzun Monastery, unique for its unusually large size and distinctive architectural layout, which make it a rare example of Armenian ecclesiastical architecture of its time.
• Visit to the Armenian Alphabet Monument. Discover the monument dedicated to the 1,600th anniversary of the Armenian alphabet, located on the slopes of Mount Aragats. The monument features 39 giant carved Armenian letters made from the famous red tuff, situated near the resting place of St. Mesrop Mashtots, the creator of the Armenian alphabet in 405 AD.
• Trip to Amberd Fortress (“Fortress of Clouds”) (10th century). Explore Amberd Fortress, a striking example of Armenian medieval architecture and one of the few preserved feudal castles in Armenia. Perched in a deep gorge halfway up Mount Aragats (4,096 m above sea level), between two rivers, the fortress blends harmoniously with the surrounding landscape, offering spectacular views.
• Excursion to Saghmosavank Monastery (13th century). Visit Saghmosavank Monastery, perched on the western edge of the Kasakh River canyon. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the canyon and surrounding mountains.
