Do You Need Travel Insurance for Armenia?

Travel insurance is not mandatory for entering Armenia and is not required to participate in our tours. However, we strongly recommend that all travelers obtain a travel medical insurance policy. Although travel insurance is relatively inexpensive, it can be extremely helpful in case of illness, injury, or other unforeseen situations during your trip. For your safety and comfort, we kindly ask that you inform the tour organizers in advance of any chronic medical conditions or disabilities that may affect your travel experience, so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

We recommend purchasing travel insurance in your country of residence before traveling to Armenia. Most international insurance providers offer online policies, making the process quick and convenient. The cost of a standard travel insurance policy for Armenia typically ranges from USD 10–25 per week, depending on your age and the level of coverage. We recommend choosing a policy with medical coverage of at least USD 30,000–50,000. It is also advisable to ensure that your insurance includes emergency evacuation and repatriation, as well as coverage for outdoor activities if you plan to participate in hiking or other active tours.
